What are cookies and how we use them

Details on the use of cookies and your options for setting them in accordance with current legislation.

We may use cookies (small text files in your browser) and similar techniques to enable us to know how our website is visited and how our web services and products are used. This then allows us to offer you the services and products that best match your needs and interests. We may use cookies that allow us to know that you specifically visited a particular page. You have the option to refuse our use of your cookies.
We may also collect information about your visit to our website and other similar sites based on your activities in our online system. However, this data is not personal and does not identify you. They may include our sites you visit, products and services you have viewed or ordered. This helps us to develop and modify our services in the future according to your individual needs and preferences.
For example, we record in our marketing analytics systems the URL of the page from which you came, your IP address, current browser and operating system versions, time spent on our site, responses to offers displayed and other information about your behaviour on our site.
An Internet Protocol address, known as an IP address, is assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider. It is usually dynamic. This means that it changes every time you connect to the internet. It is used, for example, to diagnose problems on the server and to administer the site, but it can also be used to display relevant offers from our company.
If you prefer, you can set your browser to notify you if it sends cookies or simply disable cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser. How you disable cookies depends on your browser type, but in that case you must accept that some features simply will not work. And what are cookies anyway?
They are a piece of information that a website sends to your browser. It allows the website to remember information about you and your choices.

Types of cookies

So-called
a) "Session Cookies" are temporary information that improves navigation on a website. They are deleted as soon as you switch off your browser or computer.
b) "Persistent Cookies" are more permanent information located on your hard drive. They remain there until you delete them. They may hold personal information, but only if you agree to this.
We categorise cookies in terms of their purpose - this makes it easier for you to understand why we need them:
  1. Absolute necessity - they are used to make our website work properly and efficiently;
  2. performance - used to analyse how our website works and to improve it further;
  3. functionality - they help the website to keep information about your preferences and actions for a certain period of time, for example remembering the products you have added to your basket;
  4. targeting/advertising - used to share information with third parties we advertise with so we know how you came to our website. Through cookies, we may offer slightly tailored content on our site that we think may be of interest to you, but only in relation to our products and services. We also use cookies to customize the communications we send to you or the content of communications we send to you. We inform you about the anonymous use of these cookies on your first visit to the website. The possibility of more precise (personal or personalized) targeting of advertising is only available when you first log in to our web self-service and you can withdraw your consent to personalized targeting, like anonymous targeting using cookies, at any later time. Content personalization means that you are offered information that reflects the interest you have expressed in the content of our website or offers or promotions that we think may be of interest to you; it also helps us to improve our response to your needs. In the case of personalised targeting, we may then tailor the content of the information offered to you not only based on your activity on our website, but also in relation to other information we know about you as our customer.

Third party cookies

First party cookies come from the same second level domain as the website you are currently on (in this case ".emailkampane.cz")
Third party cookies come from a different domain to the website in question. For example, if you visit our website, you may see links to another company's website - for example, to our Facebook or LinkedIN account or to a video on our YouTube site.
So, for example, if you click on "Like" or "Share on LinkedIN" on Facebook, those sites may sometimes place cookies on your computer. However, we have no control over how these entities use cookies, so we recommend that you check the usage and management options on their websites.
Affiliate partners with a different domain name may place cookies on their websites in order to display advertisements that may be of interest to you. Again, we recommend checking the settings on their specific domains.
